Electrification Initiave

  • Winner of the RES 2024 Development Innovation Contest

To improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions, I proposed integrating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with our existing generator setup. The idea aimed to cut fuel usage by over 70% and was selected through an internal innovation challenge for its strong alignment with sustainability and cost-saving goals.

  • Team Leadership and Strategic Execution

I was appointed to lead a team of five in assessing pilot sites, building TCO models, and evaluating the feasibility of implementation. We focused on high-impact locations, applying a structured approach to identify where the hybrid system would yield the greatest benefit.

  • Measured Impact and Broader Benefits

Our pilot site achieved $370,000 in immediate fuel savings and is projected to save over $550,000 long term. Additional benefits included reduced maintenance, quieter operations, lower emissions, improved power redundancy, and stronger alignment with our renewable energy mission.
