O&M Training Facility Assessment

  • O&M Training Facility Cost Assessment Initiative

I was assigned to develop a comprehensive cost model for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) training facility in Weatherford, Texas—designed to serve as a central hub for educating RES employees on high-voltage electrical systems, solar arrays, wind turbines, battery storage, and other renewable technologies. The scope included end-to-end pricing across engineering, construction, infrastructure, and training systems.

  • Full-Scope Cost Modeling and Vendor Sourcing

I led the pricing strategy across all project phases: structural design and buildout, utility integration, procurement of specialized equipment (e.g., inverters, control systems, transmission units), and outfitting of realistic hands-on training stations. I also priced safety systems, PPE inventory, simulation tools, testing labs, IT/AV systems, and classroom technology—ensuring that the space would meet operational, instructional, and regulatory standards.

  • Strategic Enablement Through Infrastructure Investment

The finalized assessment empowered leadership with a full financial outlook to support capital planning and training investment decisions. This facility will directly enhance workforce readiness, safety performance, and in-house technical expertise—aligning with RES’s long-term strategy to build a self-sustaining, renewables-focused labor force.
